Yesterday we were officially 18 weeks, which also means we are in the 19th week of our pregnancy. I didn't blog about our doctor's appointment last Thursday because there wasn't much to say. :) We heard the heartbeat, asked a few questions, and left without even asking what the heartbeat actually was!! We are just so thankful to HEAR it at every appointment, that's all that really matters. :)
Our ultrasound is scheduled for November 21st so I'm anxiously awaiting that appointment and getting a look at baby Burton!
Your Baby: Week 19
Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.
I can't believe our baby has reached the "mango" stage! It seems impossible....these weeks are starting to fly by! Only 2 more weeks and we'll be halfway already!
However, after looking at the pictures that Tyson took, I am definitely seeing a difference this week that wasn't there last week or the week before. Take a look for yourself.....
We have Christmas with my mom's family this weekend and we'll also be celebrating my grandma's 80th birthday. Maybe I can actually get a picture taken WITH Tyson, instead of having him take all of them. :)
