Today we are 21 weeks and it was also the big ultrasound day!! We didn't find out the gender, but we do have a sealed envelope with a picture of baby's "parts" in case we want to take a look.
Here's what is happening with baby for the next few weeks. It looks like baby's size doesn't change much in the following weeks:
Your Baby: Month 5
Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.
Please excuse these pictures. They were taken with my cell phone which normally takes really good pictures, but apparently not when there is very little light.
And here are just 3 of the 120+ pictures of baby Burton that we got on a disc!
The doctor said everything in the heart and brain look normal! That's a good sign. Our due date hasn't changed so we're right on schedule for April 2nd still. We'll see if baby wants to surprise us a little early.
