26 weeks

I started this post as a combination of three things, but decided that they were each important and needed their own posts.  Plus, three individual posts will make it look like I'm really on the ball with blogging!

I feel like I was just blogging about being 25 weeks and now here I am at 26!  This week flew by.  We reached the 100 day milestone on Christmas eve so now we are officially in the double-digits (98 to be exact).  I remember reaching double-digits with our wedding countdown and starting to panic.  We still have a nursery to paint and a crib to finish this time around!!!  On the bright side, the paint was purchased after our doctor's appointment on Friday.  I just need to do some taping and then I can start any day now.  Speaking of doctor's appointment, baby's heartbeat was a strong 146bmp!

What's up with your baby? She now weighs a full two pounds and measures nine-plus inches. The app on my phone actually tells me that baby measures about 15 inches!  Holy cow!

According to one website, baby is the size of a head of cauliflower.  Wow!  ("What To Expect" says cucumber...whatever.  These websites are all confusing!)

I also read that Braxton-Hicks sometimes start around this point in pregnancy and I keep reading about a protruding navel, but no sign of one here yet!  I also don't have the dark line on my stomach like some women get.  No sign of stretch marks either and I'm hoping those stay away!
